Linen hire can be a bit scary if you’ve never hired it before, but we have tried to make it as easy as possible for you to find the right colour and size for your needs.

What do I need to know about linen hire?

Most linen hire is measured in inches, so it’s important to measure your tables in that format before choosing what you need. Remember to include a bit for the “drape” between the table-top and the floor – the standard banqueting table is 30 inches tall.

Table linen is either square, rectangular or circular. With most tables it should be intuitive what to choose, but for oval tables we recommend the larger rectangular pieces of linen while smaller circular tables normally have a square tablecloth.

Runners and sashes will add an accent of colour to your table and chairs if you don’t want to go overboard, while napkins make a classy accompaniment.

Does linen hire need to be laundered before it is collected?

Before any of our linen is dispatched to our customers, we have it professionally laundered and pressed ready for delivery. This of course requires industry-specific machinery and as such we know that we cannot expect our customers to launder their linen hire before it is collected.

It's for this reason, we include our send it back dirty service in our linen hire price. The only thing we require of our customers is to repack linen dry and free of any food debris in the bags that it was shipped in. Linen which is returned wet or with attached food debris is much more likely to be unable to be cleaned and we have to charge replacement fees for any damaged or destroyed linen.

How does delivery of linen hire work?

We’ve made it easier than ever to find out quickly the cost of delivery and collection of your event hire. All you then need to do is to enter your delivery postcode to find out not only how much carriage will cost, but also which website is closest to you, so you don’t pay any more than you need to.

There is also a list of all possible extra charges on that page. If applicable, these are confirmed in the checkout once you have confirmed all address and date details. This way you can see exactly what you are being charged for before you make payment.
