Choosing the right catering equipment hire can be tricky but we’ve tried to make it as easy as possible for you with our selection.

How do I know which kind of oven hire I need to choose?

Building a temporary kitchen or an event or pop-up restaurant can be difficult for first time hirers. Sorting out the right oven hire is one of the big decisions to get right and getting it wrong can make things very difficult.

At Expo Hire East Midlands we offer both LPG and electric ovens for hire; knowing the correct oven to choose will depend on what the oven is needed for. Electric ovens for hire are the correct choice for those events and kitchens which take place indoors, where they can be used to bake, roast and grill food with ease. However, because electric ovens need large amounts of power to run they’re not suitable for use outdoors. The wattage required by electric ovens is far too much for temporary power supplies such as generators and extension leads, and these trip out easily while trying to use them with electric ovens. LPG ovens like our six burner oven are the correct choice for use outdoors, as they use LPG bottles to fuel the oven’s powerful burners. LPG ovens are not designed to be used indoors due to the potential for build up of exhaust fumes.

The quality of our stock has always been of utmost importance to us and because of this we frequently replace our ovens with new ones. This is particularly important with ovens which are often the main workhorse of a kitchen and allows our customers to order from us with peace of mind.

What kind of fridge hire is there?

Need to keep food and drink cold at your next event or occasion but don’t have the fridge space to do it? We work with events and occasions of all kinds along with commercial and pop up kitchens throughout Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire to help with fridge hire needs. Our expert drivers deliver fridges to venues throughout the region frequently, helping to ensure that event organisers don’t need to worry about keeping things cold.

We have a selection of fridges for hire on offer at Expo Hire East Midlands. The upright glass-fronted display fridges are one of the most frequently hired products we offer, going everywhere to people such as retailers, exhibitors and event organisers. There are also double door bottle coolers which are great for places such as pop-up bars as an under counter fridge. For customers who are after something a little bit more specialist in nature we also stock wine fridges, counter top fridges and chilled drink dispensers.

We understand how commercial kitchens need space to not only store and chill food but also for preparation. To solve this problem we offer counter fridges with integrated workspaces which are designed for this specific problem and which can be wheeled quickly into position with ease. At the other end of the spectrum, our extra large double door fridges are just what is needed for kitchens with large storage requirements.

Is there commercial barbecue hire available?

The smell of food cooking at an open air event is enough to make most people salivate at the thought of tasty food. Although a private party can easily make do with a small bbq, we understand from experience that our commercial customers need commercial barbecue hire.

The barbecues for hire we stock are chosen with large outdoor events in mind and can easily feed hundreds of guests. The Cinders barbecue is an industry standard and features two separate cooking areas which allows for differing menus without fear of cross-contamination. We also stock gas bottles and wrenches so customers can be sure they have everything they need to get going.

What do I need to know about catering equipment hire?

Regardless of what catering equipment you hire, there are some important things to take into consideration before hiring.

The most important consideration is power. All of our electrical items use a standard three pin UK plug and have been PAT tested prior to dispatch. Please check the wattage required as more powerful products can trip extension leads and generators. As a rule, electric equipment is designed to be used indoors.

Our LPG equipment is all regularly certified by a Gas Safe Engineer as being safe to use, and certification is available on request. All of our equipment uses standard bayonet fittings and can be attached to 19 or 47kg gas bottles. We cannot do this for you on delivery – if you’re not sure how to do it please ask a Gas Safe engineer to connect it for you. LPG equipment is designed to be used outdoors in the main.

I'm ordering a large amount of catering equipment hire. Can I put down a deposit?

Got a large event coming up? We’re here to help you get your event hire booked early at Expo Hire East Midlands. If your hire charge is over £500, you can now book your hire equipment with just a 25% deposit, paying the remainder up to 28 days prior to delivery. All you then need to do is to enter your delivery postcode to find out not only how much carriage will cost, but also which website is closest to you, so you don’t pay any more than you need to.

There is also a list of all possible extra charges on that page. If applicable, these are confirmed in the checkout once you have confirmed all address and date details. This way you can see exactly what you are being charged for before you make payment.
